What's happening...

I'll tell you what's happening!!! God's plan is what!!

So, this is an update on what's going on in my life at the moment. It's amazing how God is constantly at work with us. There's never a dull moment with Him but an ongoing journey that takes you to the next season He has for you in life and it always comes in the perfect time. God doesn't send us anywhere unless He knows that we are ready to be there! Isn't God awesome?? Chyeaaa!!!!

So about 2 years ago, God placed this desire in my heart to build an orchestra at my church. Ever since He planted that desire in my heart, it has continued to grow and grow and the more I seeked His plan out the more I saw this coming true. Like I wrote in my last blog, music is what I was designed to do so I know I'll be serving God in that area, but exactly doing what? Well, I've always visioned an orchestra in my head; the one I would conduct in my room when no one was around and the one I could constantly hear play in my head and, I must say, it's quite a large ensemble! I cannot wait til the day when I see that group before me playing beautiful sounds for our Faithful and Great God!! You know what it sounds like to me? Like an echo from Heaven. And as many of you know, that is what God is starting to do.

This past Sunday we made the announcement to a congregation of over 500 people that Words of Life church is starting their own school of music titled, "Heaven's Echo" [many thanks to Alex for helping me come up with that name (: ]. I will be teaching violin, viola, cello, and piano to children and youth 3rd-12th grade. I cannot even begin to describe the level of excitement I feel as the days grow closer and closer to starting to work with these beautiful students. I feel so at peace knowing that all of this is in the Father's plan and I'm walking straight into the plans He has for me. And the timing of all of this is just perfect!! Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from a perfect God.
Summer classes just finished for me last week and now I have plenty of time to just focus on building this program before classes start again in August. And it's so amazing to me how the 2 classes I took during the summer have helped me tremendously in starting and organizing this program!! I'm telling you, God's timing is always perfect!!
I'm so grateful that I even have the support of my professors at my school! They have helped me so much with where to begin. They've been so generous and giving and have even taken time out of their day to meet with me and answer any questions I have about what to teach first and what materials I will need to get started. God promises us favor with Him and man, remember? This is so true and I always see His favor with teachers and even strangers in my life!
Lately, I have been visiting various music stores and websites finding the best deals for parents to rent and purchase instruments. In about 2 weeks I will be meeting with all the parents and students who signed up for Heaven's Echo and we'll begin with lessons by the end of the month. What blows my mind is that I know this is only the beginning of a vision that was placed in me 2 years ago. I am positive that as time progresses, all instruments will be taught as our school of music grows. And that orchestra I told you about, the large one that I've always visioned, I know it's only a matter of time when I'll see them all before me. Remember, believing is seeing! It's called FAITH.
